This Privacy Policy describes how CodeCrypt ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our application. CodeCrypt is developed and maintained by PALUNGX ("the Developer").
We built CodeCrypt to work fully offline as a number, text, and hash conversion toolkit. We take your privacy seriously, and this policy explains exactly what happens (and, more importantly, what does not happen) with your data.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
CodeCrypt does not collect, transmit, or share any of the following:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number, location, etc.)
- Any text, numbers, or values you type into the app's converters, hash generator, or ASCII tool
- Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or analytics data
- Any data sent to remote servers — CodeCrypt does not use the internet to send your input anywhere
CodeCrypt does not contain any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or tracking libraries.
2. Information Stored On Your Device
To provide its features, CodeCrypt stores a small amount of data locally on your device only:
- Conversion History: If you choose to tap "Save to History" on a number conversion, text/encoding result, or hash result, that entry (input and output values) is saved in a local database on your device using Android's Room database. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to the Developer or any third party.
- Theme Preference: Your choice of Dark (Terminal) or Light mode is saved locally on your device so the app remembers your preference between sessions.
You can delete this locally stored data at any time by using the "Clear All" option inside the History screen, or by clearing the app's data/storage through your device's Android system settings.
3. Permissions
CodeCrypt does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, storage, or any other sensitive device permission. The app functions entirely offline using only the data you type directly into it.
4. Children's Privacy
CodeCrypt does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13, because the app does not collect personal data at all. The app is intended as a general-purpose developer utility tool.
5. Third-Party Services
CodeCrypt does not integrate with any third-party services, advertising networks, or analytics providers. No data is shared with anyone.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the app's features. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
